Dr. Diana Torres
After earning my bachelor’s degree in biomedical and physical science from the University of Central Florida, I attended the Loma Linda School of Dentistry where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While pursuing my dental education, I was subjected to great learning opportunities and experienced faculty who molded me into the practitioner I am today. As I studied meticulously and treated patients in the restorative clinic, I could not help but to think about how comprehensive dentistry could improve their smile, their confidence, and their life. As a result, I was accepted into the Orthodontic and Endodontic Honors Program.

I grew up in a small business-oriented family in Colombia. Everything appeared to be steering me toward business, but I experienced greater fulfillment while engaging in health care related services through clinical and volunteer work. My aspiration, as a partner at Family Dentistry of Weston, is to combine my family’s industrial techniques with my personal and professional passion to heal and beautify people’s smiles.

I strive to provide the highest level of comprehensive dentistry while educating patients about oral health. I incorporate orthodontics in my daily practice by treating minor crowding and mild cases of malocclusion with Invisalign. I perform root canals on a daily basis and provide patients with great cosmetic options to improve their smile.

My passion to provide optimal care and my hunger for knowledge in the field further confirm that I want to take my career to the next level. I want to be a leader in the community and, in doing so, I plan to focus primarily on three areas: contributing to the profession through meaningful research; striving for perfection clinically; and giving back to the community in abundance.

Coming from a country where many people face poverty, I was inspired to devote my time to those who are most in need. I engaged in various volunteer opportunities while in dental school, such as taking part in international mission trips to Nicaragua and Kenya. Some of my most gratifying experiences have consisted in performing routine dental therapies to members of marginalized populations. I currently volunteer at the Mission Dental Clinic in Delray Beach.
